What evidence would we look for if the global Flood cataclysm, as described in Genesis 6 to 8, is really true? Andrew Snelling, PhD geology, explains that the Floodwater deposited marine creatures in sedimentary rocks that are now found near the tops of the mountains. We would expect strata covering huge areas with little or no erosion between layers of strata. We would also expect well-preserved fossils that show rapid burial, and that are sometimes found in huge fossil graveyards. These findings, plus other evidence for a global Flood, are exactly what we see in the sedimentary rocks.
